Ford has been delivering the new Ford Mondeo to its customers since 2007. Unfortunately, the fairly sporty automatic transmission is not available for the 5-cylinder models (2.5-liter turbo, 220 hp). To offer an alternative for drivers who value comfort yet still have sporty ambitions, we have supercharged the 2.3-liter Duratec engine with our Rotrex supercharger system. The goal was to achieve performance comparable to that of the 2.5-liter engine while still offering an automatic transmission. We have undoubtedly succeeded in this. The 2.3-liter “Turbodrive” Mondeo delivers 219 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The kit is also compatible with the 2.0-liter manual transmission variant (210 hp / 280 Nm). The kit includes: Rotrex radial compressor with intercooler, Samco hoses, oil system for the supercharger, sports air filter in a standard housing, ECU remapping, installation with TÜV certification, and power measurement.

Converting the Elise/Exige from Rover technology to the proven “Honda powertrains” (Elise 220R) is a specialty of Komo-Tec. To give these vehicles an extra boost in performance, we have also equipped the Honda K20A engine with our “Turbodrive” system. The result: 325 hp from 780 kg, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 2.4 kg/hp. With 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 11.8 seconds, the performance figures are on par with today’s top sports cars. The system operates at 0.6 bar of boost pressure and features an effective, water-cooled intercooler, thereby achieving high performance.
